I was very impressed with the new information provided. I purchased 4 books for one of my classes. Looking forward to giving these books as a Christmas present to my students.
I don't know how to eliminate my previous low rating.
My students really like this one when I present it with a Google Walking Tour of the places Liam travels. It's a really global perspective. It inspired questions about a lot of different places and some curiosity about places in the world my students might someday want to travel. It's engaging enough as an adventure story to keep their attention and also easy enough that they could understand the story. I used it at the beginning of my level 2 class, although I probably could have used it at the end of level 1 and likely will in the future. It was a frequently chosen free reading book, although I prefer to teach it so that I can add a lot of geography.
I need more information before deciding if this book is a good fit for my students. What level is it? Is it mostly text or a graphic novel?
